Software Test Engineer

About The Position

Hi, we’re Gravie. We improve the way employers offer health benefits and provide employees coverage they can actually use. We’re looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to help build out and support our data infrastructure as we grow.

You Will:

●     Use your expertise and software quality assurance knowledge to ensure quality throughout our applications in this customer centric environment

●     Enjoy and embrace change, and not be afraid to take initiative

●     Desire the challenge of testing in a highly configurable application

●     Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases using Geb and Spock in Groovy

●     Automate and execute functional and regression test cases to identify gaps between code and story requirements

●     Work within an agile methodology, where development and testing occur within two week sprints

●     Manage QA workload within the sprint in a fast paced work environment

●     Participate in deployments to production

●     Problem solve and co-­produce within a small and highly collaborative team

●     Contribute to process creation and refinement

●     Put energy and passion into your work every day

●     Demonstrate the Gravie competencies of authenticity, creativity, curiosity, and outcome orientation 


You Bring:

●     Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience testing software

●     Experience in an agile environment, including working with user stories and continuous build integration

●     Effective approaches to automation that result in efficient, reliable, maintainable tests that will provide the feedback needed for a successful deployment to production every two weeks

●     Experience with Selenium Grid, AWS, Git, Jenkins, Splunk, Linux, shell scripting

●     Love of experimentation, analysis and continuous code improvement

●     Proven ability to obtain information and perform at a high level in the absence of strong documentation and process

●     Motivation to work with a team to build a product in a rapidly growing industry

●     Excitement about making small, incremental changes and their positive impact to the big 
picture

Extra Credit:

●     Knowledge of the healthcare or health insurance industry

●     Experience with performance, scalability, and penetration testing

●     Start-up experience

●     Desire to perform developer duties such as debugging the application to confirm a bug

●     Knowledge of web application frameworks such as Grails, Rails, Play, or Django

This is an exempt position.
