The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective business clients with the primary goal being to generate new qualified leads for Gravie’s sales team.


  • Engage and generate interest in Gravie through strategic outreach to businesses throughout the country
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness including content, subject lines, etc. to refine and improve upon current success
  • Manage all inbound leads by following up for additional information, assigning to correct salesperson and entering into CRM
  • Identify and pursue new ways to reach specific target markets — associations, affiliations and existing employer peer groups
  • Become an expert in lead generation best practices and apply those practices in your daily work
  • Attend 1-5 sales meetings/month to stay up to date on what’s happening in the field and report on results
  • Represent Gravie at local events or tradeshows to generate new leads and help with brand awareness
  • Help with ad hoc sales and marketing projects
  • Demonstrate commitment to core Gravie competencies of being authentic, curious, creative and outcome-oriented.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • An aptitude for experimenting, learning and continuous improvement
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
  • A resourceful, driven and resilient attitude
  • A high degree of organization, accuracy and detail
  • Some professional experience in sales or marketing is a plus
