The Finance Team works to ensure Gravie delivers a flawless experience to all of our employer and individual clients while contributing toward daily accounting functions. In addition to processing payments and supporting accounting needs, the Gravie Accountant will contribute to and execute operational solutions for our complex payment needs.

You Will:

  • Process daily premium and claim transactions in multiple systems
  • Perform routine daily and monthly accounting tasks
  • Perform reconciliations
  • Prepare reports for internal and external use
  • Assist in day-to-day operational functions of various business groups and maintain financial records for such business groups
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify improvements and new features that will increase the operational efficiency of Gravie’s systems
  • Provide support and service to the Account Management and Member Advisor teams to effectively resolve reported client payment issues

You Bring:

You are detail oriented and a problem solver. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able prioritize and complete work without a lot of direction.

Experience in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience reconciling and handling sensitive financial data
  • Experience working in highly dynamic environment (start up or emerging growth company) or demonstrated ability to do so
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a team and functions
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience with other MS Office products

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
  • Experience Virtual Benefits System (VBA) or other claims systems
  • Experience working with medical and/or FSA claims
  • Familiarity with insurance products (medical, dental, life, disability)
