In the growing field of technology consulting and software development, competition for talent is fierce. Offering generous benefits is one way to attract and retain the industry’s brightest employees, but for Minneapolis-based firm TEN7, it just wasn’t feasible. Luckily, Gravie was there to provide an alternative solution.

TEN7 employees work with Gravie advisors to select the plans that are the best fit. After an employee selects a plan, Gravie administers a flat stipend on top of the employee’s salary that may be used towards that employee’s monthly health insurance payment. The pairing of a customized service like Gravie with the stipend was particularly important to Stegic, who wanted to make sure that any stipend the employees used towards health insurance was seamlessly applied to the employees’ monthly payments.

Stegic says that, by using Gravie’s services for his company, there is no other way to help employees purchase health insurance ”that would be affordable and sustainable for the company.” He also acknowledges that, as a company on the cutting edge of technology, it was appealing to him to work with a company that was also at the forefront of its industry. “Culturally, we’re a good fit. We’re both companies with a hands-on culture willing to take risks,” he says.
